The commission, during June 12-21, had sold 2,906 kits and has earned a revenue of Rs 69.6 lakh by selling the yoga kits and other items, it said.
The New Delhi Municipal Corporation had placed an order for 1,000 kits and Ministry of Ayush had ordered 300 (kits), it added.
Several public sector undertakings, including National Thermal Power Corporation and Power Grid Corporation, too had placed order for the kits.
The kits were designed by the Ahmedabad-based National Institute of Design on behalf of the Ministry of Ayush.
"This is for the first time KVIC entered into such a project and did aggressive marketing. We will continue to do everything possible to ensure that Khadi brand remains at the forefront," the chairman said.
