L&T Construction has bagged order worth Rs 1,071 crore from Tamil Nadu Transmission Corporation. The order is to install transmission line for 274 kms in the state.
The company has said that it has won new orders valued at Rs 1,504 crore across various business segments in August 2013.
The orders include Rs 1071 crore order by company's Power Transmission & Distribution Business.
The order was placed by Tamil Nadu Transmission Corporation Limited to supply, erection, testing and commissioning of 400 kv double circuit quad line for a total length of 274 km in Tamil Nadu.

The order involves turnkey construction along with supply of towers, conductors, insulators etc., The project is scheduled to be completed in 18 months.
The company also bagged another turnkey order from the Purvanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd for carrying out rural electrification works in Jaunpur district of Uttar Pradesh under the Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Vidutikaran Yojna Phase-II.
