As per the agreement, GE Energy would provide its power plant main control system products to L&T, while the latter will leverage its strengths in engineering and project execution as well as experience in the Indian market to deliver comprehensive power plant automation solutions to customers.
The agreement was signed by GE Energy India's Region Executive J Kishore and L&T's Chief Executive (Electronics Sector-II of Electrical and Electronics Division) J P Singh, a statement said here today.
"L&T was looking to provide reliable control systems offering for the rapidly developing power generation sector in order to complete its electrical and automation suite," L&T's President-Operations and Member of the Board R N Mukhija said.
Kishore said: "We are excited about this agreement because L&T has an excellent presence in the Indian market, a portfolio of products and systems integration expertise that complement our power plant DCS automation products."
