L&T Insurance ties up with FINISH to provide health insurance in rural India

The company has partnered with FINISH (Financial Inclusion Improves Sanitation and Healthcare) to provide micro health insurance in rural India and also broaden the scope of financial inclusion.

L&T Insurance today announced that it has has partnered with FINISH (Financial Inclusion Improves Sanitation and Healthcare) to provide micro health insurance in rural India and also broaden the scope of financial inclusion.

FINISH will act as a partner to identify and facilitate enrolment of grassroots Civil Society organizations that are also implementing hygiene and sanitation programs, as Micro Insurance Agents (MIAs) for L&T Insurance, in pockets of the 3 states of Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Orissa, where FINISH project is under implementation.

L&T Insurance will train FINISH resources who will in turn identify, enroll and train MIAs and SPs to sell L&T Insurance micro insurance products – "my:jeevika Cash Hospital Micro Insurance" and "my:jeevika Medisure Micro Insurance."

The Jeevika Cash Hospital Micro Insurance is focussed at providing wages to the daily labourers in the rural areas who miss out in their wages while they are under medical treatment and Jeevika Medisure Micro Insurance is a medical insurance aims at providing medical benefit of up to Rs 30,000.

Initialy the project will start in Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Orissa where FINISH project is under implementation.
