The heavy civil infrastructure business of L&T Construction, along with its joint venture partner, Daewoo E&C of South Korea, has won an order worth Rs 3,115 crore from the Bihar State Road Development Corporation Limited (BSRDCL).
The engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract involves design and construction of greenfield six-lane extra-dosed cable bridge over Ganga river near Kachchi Dargah in Patna district on NH-30 to near Bidupur in Vaishali district on NH-103. A 22-km road alignment, including a 9.76 km long extra-dosed bridge over Ganga river will be constructed. The project, which also includes viaducts, railway over bridges, major bridges and road works, is scheduled to be completed in four years.
“This is a significant win in the heavy civil infrastructure space and we hope that this is a sign for many such projects involving vital infrastructure that are in the offing to materialise. With the support of our JV partners, we are confident of delivering as per the requirements of our clients,” said SN Subrahmanyan, deputy managing director and president, L&T.
