Larsen & Toubro (L&T) today announced that the company has secured a Rs 481.60 crore turnkey order for setting up a water supply system for the Bisalpur Water Supply Project from the Rajasthan Urban Infrastructure Development Project (RUIDP). Aided by the Asian Development Bank, this project will be executed by the company's ECC division.According to a release issued by L&T to the BSE today, this project will cater to the increasing water demand of Jaipur city and thus reduce the city's dependence on its ground-water resources. The project, when completed, will ensure supply of 360 million litres per day (MLD) of treated water to Jaipur city and 40 MLD for the adjoining rural areas.
