Engineering major Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has secured an order worth Rs 700 crore from HPCL-Mittal Energy Ltd (HEML), a joint venture of the government-owned Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd and Mittal Energy Investments, the company Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) today.
The order involves setting up two 44,000 tonnes capacity hydrogen generation units for HEML's Bhatinda refinery. The order has been awarded on a lump sum turnkey basis and L&T’s scope of work includes residual process design, detailed engineering, procurement, supply, transportation, storage, fabrication, inspection, construction, installation, testing, mechanical completion, pre-commissioning and commissioning.
