According to Jamnagar police officials of rural division, mistaking a labourer's death due to heart attack as being caused due to an accident, two group of workers clashed with each other, resulting in damage to private property within the labour colony of RIL's Jamnagar refinery site near Kanalus village.

Meanwhile, a labour died due to heart attack in the residential area near Kanalus Village. However, there were rumours that he died in a road accident. As a result of misunderstanding a large number of labours started gathering and started damaging vehicles.
