Laird Tech, UK to set up unit in ChennaiBS Reporter / Chennai November 03, 2006Laird Technologies, a subsidiary of London-based Laird Group, is setting up its manufacturing facility in the Nokia SEZ in Sriperumbudur near Chennai to support its key customers like Nokia in India.To be established with an initial investment of $10 million, which may increase to $18-$20 million in 3-5 years, the manufacturing facility will initially handle antenna production followed by electromagnetic interference (EMI) products for mobile handset applications.
