Founded in 2010 by five friends-Shiv Shankar, Mohan Rajamani, Unni Krishnan, Arindam tNag and Tajinder Singh Sidhu, the start-up caters to the technology-based learning for K12 (kindergarden to class-12) space.
It has developed content in collaboration with teachers, students, and around 1,000 parents. It has developed 80 smart cards catering to each grade and for cards for CBSE, ICSE and IGCSE syllabuses to make the curriculum-based learning simple, effective and fun at the school level, said Arindam Nag, director of Learnhive.

The Indian e-learning education market, which is growing at 65% year-on-year, is getting flooded with players such as Educomp, Everonn and Next Education. "We see a great opportunity in this space, as India has an addressable market of around 250 million school going children. If we could track a small percentage of it, then it is still a huge market," he said.
Its product-personal concept tutor, which is for the K-12 students, is priced between Rs 3,999 and Rs 9,999 and available in three subjects mathematics, sciences and Englis. "We are now working on in developing course modules in Hindi and French which are expected expect to be launched in six months," Unni Krishnan, founder director, Learnhive, said.
The smart learning cards are available in mathematics for only students from class 7 to class 10. It is priced at Rs 499. The products are available both online as an app for android and windows devices and offline in retail packs.
Learnhive has tied up with four schools in Hyderabad.
