PC maker Lenovo today announced key appointments to its India team in a bid to strengthen operations in the country.

It has appointed Rahul Agarwal, who is the architect of Lenovo's global marketing communications and services business, as Executive Director for Key Account Business (KAB) in India, Lenovo India said in a statement.

Prior to Lenovo, Agarwal managed the commercial desktops business at IBM. The company has also appointed Rajesh Lakhani as Head (Services Support) and he would be responsible for service delivery operations, parts management and service sales.

Lakhani would also be responsible for growing and overseeing Lenovo's services network in India.

"We are focused on driving speed, performance and efficiency with a corporate structure that makes us even faster and even more customer-focused. Going forward, we will continue to introduce game-changing products, quality service and support and enhance our go to market strategy through channels," Lenovo India Managing Director Amar Babu said.

Over the last couple of quarters, Lenovo has achieved considerable success in terms of market share and product innovation and with the new executive team in place, it is poised for growth in the Indian PC market, the statement added.
