Lifeclinic India, a part of Lifeclinic International that manufactures and distributes automated blood pressure monitors and health stations, will set up about 100 anytime self-testing health kiosks, on the lines of public telephone booths, in Andhra Pradesh.
Speaking to the media, T Venkateswar Goud, president and chief executive officer, said they were in talks with a wellness company in the country to start the health kiosks.
The kiosks would do tests like BP, body mass index, pulse rate for Rs 10 to Rs 30. Goud said the pilot was received well with 100 installations in companies like Jet Airways, Apollo Pharmacies, Aditya Birla’s more outlets and State Bank of Hyderabad.
This apart, the company is also in talks with a national bank to allow its customers use the debit card at these machines. “This will be a value-added service,” he said.
The machines are priced between Rs 1.7 lakh and Rs 12 lakh. The company is targeting to install 1,100 kiosks in two years, he said.
