LNJ Bhilwara firm targets 15% growth in the north

Rajasthan Spinning & Weaving Mills Ltd, a company of the LNJ Bhilwara group, with a turnover of about Rs 1,000 crore, is expecting a growth rate of about 15 per cent in the northern market for its textile products under the brand name "Mayur Suitings", with the launch of its new range in the market in the current financial year.
 
"The northern range contributes 35 per cent of our sales, and this year we are launching a range including worsted suitings blended with new fibres like bamboo and soya," said K D Joshi, vice-president (marketing) of the company.
 
About the expansion plan of the company, Joshi said the company was adding machineries in its processing house in Rajasthan to increase its weaving capacity and forward integration has already started in its Bangalore plant. He claimed that in the branded garments segment, the northern region contributed about 20 per cent of the total sales and recently the company had launched its new fibre linen under the range of indigo collection.
 
About the company's existence in North, Joshi said that at present company was being represented by 14 agents, 45 distributors and about 2500 retailers but the number would be increased manifold in the current financial year due to the assessment of potential of growth in the market of this region.
 
"Mayur suitings is aggressive increasing its presence in the Punjab region and to strengthen our base in the region, we are organising massive shows of famous Punjabi comedian Bhagwant Mann in Jalandhar, Ambala and Faridabad".
 
He said execting that such promotional activity would definitely give a huge boost to the sales. He revealed that about 40 per cent of fabric products were being exported to more than 50 countries in the world.
