Lucas launches inverters in Punjab

Lucas Indian Service Ltd, manufacturer of auto-electrical solutions and diesel fuel injection systems, yesterday launched its range of inverters in Punjab, as part of its diversification plans.

"Initially, we have launched five models of 500 VA Square Wave, 600 VA Square Wave, 800 VA Square Wave, 800 Sine Wave and 1400 Sine Waves in the price range Rs 4,200-8700," Arun Lamba, vice-president (operations), told reporters, revealing that very soon a few more models of the inverters would be launched in the market.

Asked about the company's turnover, Lamba said in the last fiscal, it was Rs 145 crore and with the expansion in the range of products, the company was expecting a substantial growth in turnover.

In the current financial year, the company aims to sell about 25,000 inverters in the Punjab market, he said, adding that the company has chosen to launch its products in Punjab due high potential of the market in the state. The company executives has apprised the company northern zone dealers of the unique features of the new products.
