Lufthansa will be operating daily non-stop flights between Hyderabad and Frankfurt from March 26, an increase of four flights from the existing three a week between the two destinations. |
The German airline has also announced a promotional fare of Rs 19,900 on the Hyderabad-Europe sector including UK and Germany and Rs 38,000 to Chicago, Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco. Passengers can avail the promotional fares up to April 30, 2006. |

According to Lufthansa general manager (passenger sales - India) and director South Asia, Werner Heesen, with the addition of the four flights, the total number of weekly flights by Lufthansa between India and Germany will increase to 42. |
|
Heesen told mediapersons here on Thursday that Lufthansa services on the Hyderabad-Frankfurt sector have been very well received since the launch in February last year. "The high seat load factor on this route has been the key reason for us to more than double our capacity in this sector," he said. |

Replying to a question, he said Lufthansa has not yet taken a decision about re-starting its operations from Kolkata. |
|
The airline had first started its operations between India and Germany from Kolkata in 1959. It, however, discontinued its services from Kolkata as the "demand became to less to operate". |
