Lupin forms panel for critical care

The Rs 1300 crore antibiotic major Lupin Ltd has setup a panel of 16 doctors and 1 microbiologist to discuss the need for providing improved critical care in rural areas.
 
Aimed at spreading awareness among doctors throughout India on critical care, the panel would also spearhead a unique study on various type of bacterial infections, which has an impact on the performance of critical care management in hospitals. The company would spend over Rs 10 lakh on this project.
 
The forum, which includes doctors with different areas of expertise, who are key opinion leaders in their respective fields, intends to identify the types of bacteria present in infections and their susceptibility pattern.
 
The expert panel includes Dr Ajita Mehta of Hinduja Hospital and Medical research Centre - Mumbai, the country's leading physicians like Dr Bheram Padiwala, Dr P K Joshi, Dr Prashant Rahate, Dr RK Mani of Delhi Heart and Lung Institute, Dr Suninder S Arora of Batra Hospital and Medical Research, Dr Rajesh Chawla of Appollo Hosptial, Delhi, Dr TG Sagar of Cancer Institute, Adayar.
