Lupin has posted a net profit of Rs 182.72 crore for the year ended March 31, 2006, a growth of 116 per cent compared with Rs 84.36 crore reported in the previous year. Net sales has increased from Rs 1,179.9 crore to Rs 1,678.61 crore, a growth of 42.26 per cent. |
PNB Housing net up 59% |
PNB Housing Finance's net profit for 2005-06 grew by 58.82 per cent to Rs 17.82 crore from Rs 11.22 crore in the previous year. Total income grew by 18.27 crore to Rs 102.41 crore against Rs 86.59 crore in 2004-05. |
"The profit has been achieved after transfer of Rs 2 crore to contingency reserves created for meeting any future requirement," the company said in a statement. |
The company's expenditure, including arrears of wage revision, has gone up by 10.27 per cent. "The company has worked out a strategy for improving its bottomline by increasing focus on -ig ticket advances both in housing and non-housing segment," V K Khanna, MD, PNB Housing Finance said. |
GSFC net up 83% at Rs 102 cr |
Gujarat State Fertilizers and Chemicals (GSFC) reported a net profit of Rs 102.25 crore for the quarter ended March 31 2006, 82.62 per cent higher as compared to Rs 54.79 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. |
Net sales increased 29.56 per cent at Rs 942.12 crore as compared to Rs 727.13 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. |
The company also announced its annual results for the financial year ended March 31 2006. The net profit for the year was Rs 293.8 crore, 112.79 per cent higher as compared to Rs 138.07 crore in 2004-05. |
Net sales too were higher by 8.59 per cent at Rs 2830.71 crore as compared to Rs 2606.57 crore in 2004-05. The board has announced a dividend of 45 per cent on its equity shares. |
Nitco net up 166% to Rs 20 cr |

Profit before tax jumped by 137 per cent to Rs 23.29 crore from Rs 9.81 crore. EBIDTA margin has also moved up to 15.62 per cent in FY06 from 12.80 per cent in FY05 with better realisation, operational efficiencies and economies of scale. |

BSL Ltd has reported 11.3 per cent growth in turnover for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2006, to Rs 40.02 crore from Rs. 36.01 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Net profit for the quarter increased to Rs 1.99 crore from Rs 1 crore. |
