Lycos, Hyderabad-based publicly-listed digital marketing company, has extended its deal with Yahoo! for enhanced search advertising.
The contract leverages Lycos' services to increase the reach of Yahoo! search and content offerings. Contextual advertising offerings of Lycos will in turn increase.
The enhanced form of search advertising is a type of contextually targeted platform which allows online search advertisers to buy keyword-targeted traffic from sources other than search engine results pages.
In a filing to the exchanges, Lycos said the relationship with Yahoo! was expected to increase its turnover by 10% in the 2016-2017 financial year.

"It is a contract that allows Lycos to serve globally on all platforms including search, mobile and other contextual advertising," the company added.
Lycos reported a 26.6% increase in its net profit to Rs 125.17 crore for the third quarter ended December 2015, as against Rs 98.87 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
It garnered revenues of Rs 718.27 crore in the third quarter of FY16, as against Rs 595.67 crore during the same period a year ago, reflecting a growth of 20.58%.
