The Hyderabad-based internet advertising company Lycos Internet Limited has reported a 8.66 per cent increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 84.03 crore for the quarter ended on March, 2016 as compared with Rs 77.33 crore in the corresponding quarter previous year.
The company's total income from operations grew Rs 6.52 per cent to 473.91 crore in this quarter from Rs 444.88 crore in the year ago period.
For the full year ended March, 2016 the consolidated net profit grew 18.36 percent at Rs 405.05 crore as compared with Rs 342.22 crore in the previous year. The total income rose to Rs 2,255.9 crore, an increase of 15.27 per cent over Rs 1,957 crore in the previous year.
Suresh Reddy, chairman and chief executive of Lycos said: "Our strong revenue growth during the year reflects the vibrancy of our business, driven by video, mobile and programmatic advertising. Our team executed extremely well in the face of challenging macroeconomic headwinds."
