Auto major Mahindra & Mahindra today said it has reported a 13.21 per cent jump in its total automotive sales in April at 26,043 units compared with 23,004 units in the corresponding period last year.
Domestic sales during the month stood at 25,037 units as against 22,617 units in the year-ago period, up 10.70 per cent, the company said in a statement.
Exports during the month stood at 856 units compared with 387 units in the same month last year, which is up over two-fold.
However, sales of utility vehicles registered a decline of 2.43 per cent at 17,998 units as against 18,447 units in the year-ago period. Three-wheelers sales increased by 97.71 per cent to 5,876 units compared to 2,972 units in the corresponding period last year, it said.
The sales of light commercial vehicles rose to 860 units in April 2010, from 648 units in the same month last year, up 32.72 per cent, the statement said.
Mahindra-Renault's sedan 'Logan' recorded 44.91 per cent decrease in sales at 303 units in April this year compared to 550 units in the same month in 2009.
