Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) today reported a 94% increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 1,404.01 crore for the year ended March 31, 2006 when compared with Rs 724.08 crore in FY05.According to a release issued by the company to the BSE today, total income increased to Rs 12,648.41 crore from Rs 9,565.52 crore in FY05.The company, on a stand-alone basis, posted a 110% increase in net profit at Rs 321.18 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2006 as against Rs 152.67 crore in Q4FY05. Total income increased to Rs 2,302.61 crore from Rs 1,951.31 crore in Q4FY05.The company posted a net profit of Rs 857.10 crore when compared with Rs 512.67 crore in FY05. Total income increased to Rs 8,326.54 crore from Rs 6,769.05 crore in FY05.The board has recommended a dividend of 75% on the enhanced share capital, and a special dividend of 25% aggregating to Rs 10 per share. "The special dividend is being recommended in light of the very successful listing of MMFSL," the release added.
