Hyderabad-based Madhucon Projects has today announced that it has won a road project in Bihar. The 64 kilometers long project involved the four-laning of Chhapra-Hazipur section, and was awarded on a semi-annual annuity of Rs 65.43 crore. The concession period is five years including construction period of two-and-a-half years.
Madhucon Projects has interests in areas like building dams, canals, workshops, power projects, coal mines and residential and commercial ventures. The company has an orderbook of Rs 5,200 crore. The company has recently commissioned two toll road projects-- Agra Jaipur expressway and TN expressway. It has recently received an engineering, procurement and construction contract worth Rs 1,198 crore to set-up 300 megawatt in Andhra Pradesh.
The company is also developing hydro power projects to the tune of 75 megawatt in Uttarakhand. In addition, the company's Indonesian subsidiary has a license in the South Sumatra area to develop a coal mine.
