Mahindra and Mahindra (M&M) today announced that the Maxximo, world's first mini-truck, will be available at Rs 2.79 lakh (ex-showroom Navi Mumbai). Maxximo is the first product to be rolled out of M&M's Chakan plant, near Pune.
Rajesh Jejurikar, chief of operations - auto sector, M&M said, "The Maxximo offers unbeatable value proposition at an attractive price. It is also available with free maintenance for one year per 40,000 km - a first for the segment."
The Mahindra Maxximo will be launched in February in select markets and will be made available in a phased manner.
The Maxximo will have a 2-cylinder CRDe engine with DOHC technology and four valves per cylinder. The CRDe engine offers 25 HP of power and 5.5 Kgm torque and ensures good pick-up, acceleration and gradeability. Maxximo will provide a mileage of 20 kmpl, a loading area of 3.2 square meter and a superior load carrying capacity of 850 kg payload.
The Maxximo will be available in four shades - Appy Red, Diamond White, Sunny Yellow and Leaf Green.
