Mallya buys more shares in UB Holdings Ltd
The move brings the total holdings of Mallya and his various affiliated companies to 51.1% of the company
Antonita Madonna Bangalore UB Group Chairman Vijay Mallya has purchased an additional 0.15% in UB Holdings Ltd, the principal holding company of the UB Group, for about Rs 26 lakh. The move brings the total holdings of Mallya and his various affiliated companies to 51.1% of the company.
The purchase of 99,636 shares in an open market transaction on December 26, was made public in a regulatory filing on Monday. The shares were purchased by Pharma Trading Company Private Limited, a Kolkata-based company, in which Mallya is one of the directors.
The company now owns a 0.78% stake in UB Holdings, according to the filing. Shares of UB Holdings closed at Rs 25.95, up 1% on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
