FMCG major Marico today said its consolidated net profit rose by 15 per cent to Rs 51 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2010.
Total income rose to Rs 607.5 crore for the quarter ended March 2010 from Rs 569 crore in the same period in the previous fiscal, Marico said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
The board of directors of the company proposed a second interim dividend of Rs 0.36 per equity share of Re 1 face value, the filing added.
For the year ended March 31, 2010, the firm posted a net profit of Rs 231.6 crore, up 22.73 per cent from the year-ago period.
Shares of Marico were trading at Rs 113.40 on the BSE, up 0.80 per cent from previous close.
