Maruti Suzuki has launched a diesel version of its popular sedan, SX4. With this, the car is now available in petrol, CNG and diesel variants.
The car, with a maximum power of 90 PS @4,000 rpm, will be available in three variants: VDi, ZDi and ZDi (with leather upholstery). The VDi and ZDi models will be available for an ex-showroom Delhi price of Rs 7.74 lakh and Rs 8.62 lakh, respectively.
The company said, “The higher torque at lower rpm levels makes SX4 Diesel highly suited for city driving conditions as well.”
Maruti said that the car offers a fuel efficiency of 21.5 km per litre and is 8% more efficient than comparable cars.
Shinzo Nakanishi, managing director and ceo, Maruti Suzuki said, “SX4 with a Diesel engine is one of the most attractive cars in the upper A3 segment.”
