Matrix extends Rs 6 lakh ex-gratia

In recognition of services rendered by the employees who passed away in the accident at Unit 1, Kazipally on March 5, 2005, the management of Matrix Laboratories Limited has extended an amount of Rs 6 lakh as ex-gratia to each of the families.

In addition, each family received group personal accident amounts up to Rs 10,40,000 per person, depending on their experience and last drawn salary, a press release said.

Besides, Matrix Employees Welfare Trust has donated an amount of Rs 10 lakh to the affected families. Of this amount, every child received Rs 1 lakh each towards educational expenses.

The employees of Matrix have also voluntarily contributed one day's salary, amounting to Rs 7,39,000.
