Delhi-based Alchemy Web, which operates an online platform that helps restaurants run their day-to-day operations, including ordering, online presence management and customer relationship management under the brand LimeTray, has bagged an undisclosed amount in Series A funding from Matrix Partners India. Other investors who participated in the round include Umang Kumar, chief executive officer (CEO) of Gaadi.com; Ankur Warikoo head at Groupon; and Ankur Singla, CEO of Akosha, reports VC Circle.
Allfresh to raise $2 million
Venture capital firm Aspada Investment plans to invest $2 million in Delhi-based fresh fruit supply chain company Allfresh Supply Management (Allfresh), the VC firm said. This will be Aspada's second investment in an agricultural product and service company after Lawrencedale Agroprocessing India, a fresh vegetable supply chain company, it invested in 2013.
Traffline raises Series-B funding
Mumbai-based traffic monitoring solutions startup Birds Eye Systems, which operates under the brand Traffline, has secured an undisclosed amount in funding from Qualcomm Ventures. The funds will be used for product development, marketing & user acquisition, multi-city expansion and scaling the team. "By applying wireless and location technologies, Traffline provides innovative solutions to address current challenges in the transportation segment. We look forward to working with the team at Traffline and Matrix Partners to rapidly address the pan-India opportunity," said Varsha Tagare, director of Qualcomm Ventures. Last December, the firm had received an undisclosed sum in its Series-A funding from Matrix Partners. Birds Eye Systems was founded by Briraj Vaghani and Ravi Khemani in March 2009. Its flagship product, Traffline, is a low-cost, real-time traffic monitoring system that broadcasts live traffic conditions for road commuters.
