Ahmedabad-based Meghmani Organics Limited has posted a steady growth during the third quarter of the current year. The company recorded an increase by 5.43 per cent in the net profit after tax, making i Rs. 9.95 crores as against Rs. 9.43 crores in the same period during 2007-08. The profit before tax for the period is at Rs. 12.06 crores which is an increase of 9.15 per cent compared to Rs. 11.05 crores during the same period last year.
For the period under review, the revenue of the company rose to Rs 161 crores, an increase of 16.49 per cent compared to Rs 138 crores in the same period during last year. The agrochemicals division of the group generated a revenue of Rs. 94.5 crores as compared to Rs. 52.52 crores, reflecting an increase of 79.92 per cent.
The basic and diluted earnings per share for the third quarter is Rs. 0.39 as compared to Rs. 0.40 during the same period last year. For the period of nine months of the current year, the revenue rose to Rs. 615.71 crores, an increase of 45.43 per cent compared to Rs.423.35 crores in the same period during 2007-08. For the period of nine months of the current year, the net profit after tax increased by 48.17 per cent to Rs. 39.48 crores as against Rs. 26.64 crores in the same period last year. The profit before tax for the period is at Rs. 52.30 crores which is an increase of 58 per cent compared to Rs. 33.10 crores during the same period last year. The basic and diluted earnings per share for the nine months period is Rs. 1.55 as compared to Rs. 1.12 during the same period last year.
