City-based Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Ltd (MEIL) has bagged three projects from the Gujarat state-owned Sardar Sarovar Narmada Nigam Ltd. The orders, which include construction of a pumping station and pump house, are worth Rs 556 crore and are scheduled for completion within 24 months.
B Srinivas Reddy, director, MEIL, said in a press statement that the company had already won a Rs 224.64 crore KBC canal package, from 65 km to 82.3 km including distributories, in joint venture with SEW. It was planning to complete the new project within two years, he said.
In addition, MEIL has also bagged three projects worth Rs 50 crore from the Karnataka government, according to its vice president P Subbaiah. These include a Rs 24.89-crore bulk water supply line to Basavakalyan town in Bidar district, Rs 12.6-crore lift irrigation system in Bidar and Rs 11.52-crore water supply improvement scheme in Banahatti town.
The lift irrigation scheme on left bank of Karanja reservoir near Atiwal village of Karanja project in Bidar would be implemented on a turnkey basis, and will be completed within 24 months, according to Subbaiah.
