Merchandise e-tailer icustommadeit.com raises Rs 1.65 cr in third round of funding

The site is a marketplace that brings together a new breed of independent artisans, designers and customised products to the mass market

icustommadeit.com, a merchandise start-up, has raised $250,000 (Rs 1.65 crore) in its third round of funding, led by Aditya Pethe, managing director of Waman Hari Pethe Jewellers.

Founded in May 2013, it is a marketplace that brings together a new breed of artisans, designers and customised products to the mass market. It plans to use the funds for integrating a technology platform, brand building and marketing.

icustommadeit.com had raised $250,000 in its second round of funding in June 2015. The investment was led by Virendra Shahaney, a TV author and screen writer, and Paresh Doshi. Prior to this, the company had raised $150,000 from Salma Chugh, managing director of Vertex Group.

Currently, icustommadeit.com offers an array of over 12,000 products spread across 33 expansive and upgraded categories, the company said in a release on Tuesday.
