Microsoft Unveils Architect Software

Microsoft Corporation India today launched the Microsoft software architect program aimed at developing skills of the software developer community.

The programme, meant for software developers aiming to become software architects, would provide them with international resources for technology training and management and consulting skills development, a company release said here.

Under the programme, Microsoft would conduct workshops and seminars in all the major Indian cities to help software architects hone their skills on technology, consulting, strategy, organisational politics and leadership.

These workshops would be addressed by management consultants and experts from Microsoft architecture team from its headquarters based at Redmond.

The programme would also provide members access to tools and resources being developed at Redmond.

Meanwhile, at a software architect summit in Bangalore, the company also announced its plan to launch a training and certification course for software architects under the programme early next year.

Microsoft hopes it would help double the number of software architects in India from the current 4000 who form 1 per cent of the total developer base.
