The Mirchandani family, the promoters of Mirc Electronics which owns the Onida brand of colour televisions, has set up a venture capital firm, Cocoon Ventures, to promote new economy start-ups.
Sasha Mirchandani, director of Cocoon Ventures, said the objective of the fund is to promote entrepreneurs who have a strong and viable business plan as well as a good team.
