Mirrus Systems opens India R&D centre in Bangalore

The new centre will focus on development and maintenance of Mirrus Systems technology platform for its patient financial services offerings, a company release said.     

Nanda Krish, President and CEO of Mirrus Systems said, "We have chosen Bangalore for our first phase of expansion in India. We plan to increase our headcount to over 300 by next year in anticipation of the increase in demand of our services across US hospitals. This centre is at the core of our India growth strategy, as we plan to ramp up India headcount to 1,000 by 2010. We are investing an initial amount of $1.5 million towards the Bangalore Centre".     

According to industry estimates, the potential market for revenue cycle management services is enormous, the release said. American healthcare spending now exceeds $2 trillion annually, and is projected to approach $4 trillion by 2015.
