Mocha Coffees to open first shop in Ahmedabad

Mocha Coffees and Conversations, a chain of coffee-joints by Impresario Entertainment and Hospitality Private Ltd, is all set to open its first coffee shop in Ahmedabad on Sunday.

The new generation coffee-joint will offer coffees from across the world along with desserts. Also on the offer are exotic Cuban cigars.

"Mocha is not like Barista or Cafe Coffee Day. Mocha will be more of an entertainment centre than a typical coffee shop. The ambiance at Mocha will be different from other coffee shops across the country," Riyaaz Amlani, chief executive officer, Impresario Entertainment and Hospitality Private Limited told Business Standard on Thursday.

"Now more and more people are willing to try out cigars. We will offer wide range of exotic cigars to our customers, which are still considered an exclusive or add-on product, to be smoked on special occasions."

Mocha Coffees and Conversations, which started with its first coffee shop in Mumbai with 500 square feet area in December 2004, have over 50,000 square feet area at six of its outlets "" four in Delhi and two in Mumbai.

"We will have book leisure club, film club, amongst other to bring the people having same interests together," said Amlani.

Mocha Coffees and Conversations franchisee in Ahmedabad will be owned by Ashish Alex, Pranav Nanda and Amit Barad. The interiors coffee parlour are designed to suit the moods of consumers.
