Motorola launches MotoG 3rd Gen

Priced between Rs 12,000 and Rs 13,000, will be available on Flipkart from Wednesday

Mobile-phone maker Motorola on Tuesday launched the latest version of its best-selling device Moto G- the MotoG 3rd Gen.

This announcement was first made in India and then live-streamed across Europe and the US.

Calling its water-resistance its major USP, the makers boasted of its IPX7-rated water protection which allows the phone to be submerged in up to three feet of fresh water for up to 30 minutes, provided the back cover is secured properly.

Available through Flipkart starting midnight Tuesday/Wednesday up till Sunday, the device costs Rs 11,999 for 8GB internal storage and 1GB RAM, while the version with 16GB storage and 2GB RAM costs Rs 12,999, though both will now contain an SD-card slot.

The company has tied up with Flipkart and Myntra to provide a number of launch offers, apart from which the device will also come with 4G data offers.

The phone comes in black and white and a new back cover texture for better grip, with 10 back shell and five flip shells in multiple colours, sold separately.
