MRPL dispatches at all-time high

MRPL dispatched 1.128 million metric tonnes (MMT) of petroleum products in May this year, which is 8.7 per cent over the 1.038 MMT in the corresponding period of the previous year. This includes domestic product off-take and exports.

The industry off-take from MRPL this time was at an all-time high of 0.493 MMT. The major products in demand were diesel, petrol and kerosene. This demand was higher than the production of MRPL in May owing to higher opening inventory.

Rajamani, MD, MRPL, said, 'The domestic demand is burgeoning and MRPL has been meeting the fuelling requirements of the nation."
