Mahanagar Telephone Nigam (MTNL) today reported a 17% decline in net profit at Rs 131.29 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2006 whe compared with Rs 158.29 crore in Q1FY06.According to a release issued to the BSE today, total income declined to Rs 1,361.89 crore in Q1FY07 from Rs 1,395.30 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005.
