Reliance Industries chairman and managing director Mukesh Ambani today sent a farewell e-mail to 40,000 employees of Reliance Infocomm, the telecom venture he built two-and-a-half years ago. |
His parting with Reliance Infocomm follows the announcement of an "amicable settlement" of the ownership of the Reliance group with his younger brother Anil Ambani on Saturday. |

According to the settlement, Reliance Infocomm goes to the Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Enterprises Group. |

The mail thanked the employees for making the company and wishing that they give their best to "Anil and his team." |

Mukesh Ambani congratulated the employees for their contribution in translating the dream of the Reliance group founder chairman Dhirubhai Ambani that the cost of a phone call be cheaper than that of a post card into reality. |

He said that over the last four years, he "" along with Reliance Infocomm employees "" had the satisfaction of taking forward the Infocomm initiative that envisaged bringing about a digital revolution in India. |

"Working together with dedication and passion we have created a new milestone in Reliance's historic saga of achievements," his e-mail stated. |

Addressing the employees as "Dear Infocommers", he said his younger brother Anil was taking over the stewardship of Reliance Infocomm. |

"He has enormous energy and drive and we share a common commitment to take forward the legacy of our father, " the e-mail added. |

According to him, Reliance Infocomm is now in full bloom with about 21 per cent of the country's mobile market. |

It symbolises the next generation communication organisation, connecting 100 of millions of Indians with each other and the world and engaging millions of young Indians working in the field of it enabled services with economic opportunity in the developed world. |

He said he had the opportunity of working "shoulder to shoulder" with "bright young men and women from over 1,400 geographical locations in India, who have nurtured Reliance Infocomm to blossom as a pan-India voice and data service provider." |

"As the responsibility of caring for Reliance Infocomm and leading it is now being handed over to my younger brother Anil Ambani I sent to the new leadership of Reliance Infocomm my best wishes for greater accomplishments, " he said. |
