Multi Screen Media, which backs Sony Entertainment Television, today said it was looking at acquiring television channels to strengthen its regional portfolio in the country.
"We are looking at acquiring regional channels -- South Indian, Bhojpuri and Gujarati," MSM CEO Man Jit Singh told reporters here on the sidelines of the India Digital Networks Summit.
When asked about the time frame for such an investment, Singh said the announcement could be expected in the next 12 months. He, however, declined to comment on the size of investment for this acquisition.
Multi Screen Media is an India company, which was previously known as SET India. It comprises of Sony Entertainment Television (SET) that operates Hindi general entertainment television channels-- MAX, SAB and PIX.
