Hyderabad-based Nagarjuna Construction Company (NCCL) has secured two new orders worth Rs 307 crore.Accroding to a release issued by Nagarjuna to the BSE today, the first order valued at Rs 230 crore is from the Dakshin Haryana Bijli Nigam (DHBNL), Haryana for an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract on turnkey basis comprising of supply of material and erection of New 11 KV Single Circuit lines providing high voltate distribution system (HVDS) in Hisar, Haryana State, to be completed over a period of 12 months. 'The second order is from Thane Municipal Corporation, Thane, Maharashtra for water supply scheme valued at Rs 77 crore, to be completed over a period of 27 months', the release added. In the current year, the company has so far secured orders aggregating Rs 3,088 crore and the order book now stands at Rs 9,004 crore. The company last month also acquired the contract from the Karanataka state government's Infrastructure Development Department to develop the proposed airports at Gulbarga and Shimoga in Karnataka on build-operate-transfer basis. Private equity firm Blackstone this month also acquired 14.5% stake in NCCL. NCCL's share price on the BSE (at 1121 hrs) was up nearly 4% at Rs 322 following the announcement.
