National Aluminium Company (Nalco) has posted a 52% increase in net profit at Rs 2,380.70 crore for the year ended March 31, 2007 (FY07) when compared with Rs 1,562.20 crore for the year ended March 31, 2006 (FY06).According to an official release issued by the company to the BSE today, total income has increased to Rs 6,344.99 crore for FY07 from Rs 5,122.39 crore for FY06.For the quarter ended March 31, 2007 (Q4FY07), the company has posted a net profit of Rs 590.80 crore when compared with Rs 605.57 crore for Q4FY06. Total income has increased to Rs 1686.63 crore from Rs 1629.32 crore for Q4FY06, the release added.
