Nalco output at 3,58,955 tonne in 2005-06

National Aluminium Company Ltd's (Nalco) production rose by 20,472 tonne in 2005-06 at 3,58,955 tonne against last financial year's figure.

Production of alumina hydrate also increased to 15.9 lakh tonne during the same period compared with 15,75,500 tonne in 2004-05, the company said in a statement.

It generated 5,678 million units of power during the same period against 5,613 million units in the previous year.

While Nalco recorded domestic metal sales of 2,58,096 tonne compared with 2,05,797 tonne in 2004-05, it said, and added that 1,03,193 tonne was sold from its stockyards.

Meanwhile, Nalco said that project activities of the company's second phase of expansion programmes at a cost of Rs 4,091 were going on in full swing.
