Nalco Q2 net up 91%

National Aluminium Company (Nalco) has posted 91 per cent jump in its net profit at Rs 342 crore for the quarter ended September 30 as against Rs 179 crore in the corresponding period of last fiscal. The net profit and sales turnover for the April-September period of 2014-15 stood at Rs 613 crore and Rs 3,607 crore respectively.

This marked a growth of 81 per cent in net profit and 11.08 per cent in sales turnover over the same period of 2013-14. On the production front, Nalco clocked output of 964,000 tonne of alumina hydrate while metal production stood at 161,000 tonne during April-September.
