National Aluminium Company (Nalco) today said its net profit fell 33.38 per cent to Rs 220 crore during the third quarter-ended December 2008 as against Rs 329.4 crore during the corresponding period last year.
The total income of the aluminum major fell by 7.8% to Rs 1,149.2 cr against Rs 1,247.2 cr in the same period a year ago.
CR Pradhan chairman and managing director Nalco said that "till March there will be less production than predicted".
Net sales fallen from Rs 1109.31 cr to Rs 1015.69 cr for the quarter ended December 2008.
