Natco Pharma, Procter & Gamble Hygiene & Strides Q3 results

The Hyderabad-based Natco Pharma has posted 65 per cent jump in net profit at Rs 8.69 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2006, compared with Rs 5.25 crore in the corresponding period last year.
 
Revenues for the quarter rose 48 per cent to Rs 68.55 crore on a consolidated basis, which include the company's US retailing operations.
 
Procter & Gamble Hygiene net dips
 
Procter & Gamble Hygiene and Healthcare has reported a net profit of Rs 30.15 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2006, 25.70 per cent lower compared with Rs 40.58 crore in the corresponding quarter in 2005. Net sales for the quarter were Rs 160.75 crore compared with Rs 149.25 crore for the corresponding quarter in the last year.
 
Strides net down at 15%
 
The Bangalore-based Strides Arcolab has posted 15.18 per cent dip in net profit at Rs 12.96 crore in the fourth quarter of the financial year against Rs 15.28 crore reported during the same period last year.
 
However, the company's revenues went up by 33.92 per cent to Rs 129.20 crore compared with Rs 96.47 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous year. Quarterly EPS was at Rs 3.37 against Rs 3.71 in the same period last year.
