Hyderabad-based Natco Pharma Ltd has reported a 10.65 per cent increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 60.24 crore for the quarter ended March, 2016 as compared with Rs 54.44 crore in the corresponding quarter previous year.
The total income from operations in this fourth quarter doubled at Rs 406.97 crore from Rs 200.8 crore in the year ago period on the back of steep rise in sales revenues from formulations.The key driver for the accelerated revenue growth was the company's Hepatitis C portfolio of products in the domestic market, the company said.
Total expenditure almost doubled to Rs 326.77 crore in the quarter under review as compared with Rs 164.14 crore in the corresponding previous quarter.
For the full year ended March, 2016 the company's net profit stood at Rs 155.19 crore, an increase of 15.29 per cent over Rs 134.61 crore in the previous year. Total income from operations rose 38.33 per cent to Rs 1,141.62 crore as compared with Rs 825.27 crore in the previous year.
