National Bulk Handling Corporation (NBHC), the warehousing arm of the country’s largest commodity exchange Multi Commodity Exchange, has received the accreditation of ISO 17025 : 2005 by National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) to its NBHC ProComm laboratory in Mumbai.
The highest standard of certification in food sector which was awarded to the NBHC by the Department of Science & Technology (Government of India) for chemical testing, means the company is maintaining quality of agri commodities par excellence. This is the stamp of credibility, which certifies that NBHC ProComm follows all good laboratory practices to suit international standard.
Testing done through NBHC ProComm laboratory will enhance confidence of trade parties in accepting testing reports issued with reliable international level of competence. This accreditation will ensure savings in terms of time and money of clients due to reduction or elimination of the need for re-testing of products. NBHC ProComm laboratory network is shaping up as the largest network of agriculture produce testing and certification laboratories in India.
The process of accreditation consists of three stages of complex and exhaustive audits and checks. This accreditation provides recognition of competency of NBHC ProComm laboratory in testing foodgrains, oil and oilseeds and spices & condiments.

NBHC ProComm laboratory is already accredited by GAFTA as analyst for food and feedstuff testing and certification.
With its vision of creating largest network of laboratories, NBHC aims to deliver quality testing services across India, particularly to farmers, thus enabling them to realize better remuneration.
