NDTV net profit up 22% to Rs 12.55 cr

Broadcast company NDTV reported 22 per cent increase in net profit to Rs 12.55 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 2006. Its revenues rose 41.73 to Rs 70.44 crore, saying NDTV Profit saw "extraordinary success" during the year.

"The revenue buildup from this position of leadership has also begun in a significant way," it said.

Earning before interest, depreciation, tax and amortisation for the quarter was Rs 18 crore, up 15 per cent over the same quarter of the previous year.

For the full year ended March 2006, the company's revenue increased 24.49 per cent to Rs 223.90 crore from Rs 179.8 crore recorded last year.

Net profit stood at Rs 27.53 crore and EBIDTA was Rs 45.40 crore. The company declared a dividend of 20 per cent for 2005-06.
