Ahmedabad-based Neesa Agritech P Ltd (NAPL), an agri-biotech company, has made a foray into the frozen foods segment with the brand name of 'Instant Indian'. NAPL has planned to launch all major categories of food, including curries, breads, rice, snacks and desserts. The products are slated for market introduction by the starting of January 2010.
"We are targeting Indian market as well as overseas ethnic market in US, UK & Gulf to harness the new consumer trend and to make the category more relevant and exciting for consumers and channel partners", said Sanjay Gupta, group chairman.
Instant Indian range claims to be 100 per cent natural, meaning these foods contain only natural ingredients.
NAPL has decided to look for new ways to drive value in the frozen ready to eat food category.
"The company is looking forward to create a good value preposition for channel partners as well as trendy consumers. Products are slated for market introduction by the starting of 2010."
NAPL is the sister concern of Neesa Leisure Ltd (NLL) luxury hotels and resorts business with flagship brand name 'Cambay'.
